Diocesan Council Finance Committee

The Diocesan Council Finance Committee, commonly referred to as the Finance Committee, is responsible for preparing and proposing the annual diocesan budget. The proposed budget is reviewed and approved by the Diocesan Council prior to the Annual Diocesan Convention. Final budgets are approved every year at the Annual Diocesan Convention.

Throughout the year, the Finance Committee reviews quarterly financial reports, advises on budgetary changes, and oversees other financial decisions made between Annual Diocesan Conventions.

The Finance Committee is made up of the Treasurer of the Annual Diocesan Convention, a Trustee, three at-large members elected by the Annual Diocesan Convention, and two members chosen by the Diocesan Council. The Finance Committee Chair is appointed by The Bishop. The three elected at-large members may serve two consecutive 3-year terms.
